From the 1st of December throughout three weeks WAMP, the favourite design fair of Vienna will present over 30 Austrian and international designers as part of the biggest Christmas event in Vienna ‘Winter im MQ’. From small scale fashion labels to unique jewellery you will find a wide variety of handmade products of high quality. If you would give a more precious and meaningful present to your loved ones, visit us at the inner courtyard of MuseumsQuartier and enjoy shopping while having a mulled wine in a perfect Christmas atmosphere.
Between 1st and 23rd of December WAMP International Design Fair will organize its Christmas fair again at a new location at the inner courtyard of MuseumsQuartier in the very heart of Vienna. Each week 10 new designers will await visitors from the field of fashion and design. At the first week from 1st till 7th December you can choose from the collections of the Austrian graphic designer Sophie Strasser, who creates limited edition linocuts and prints inspired by Japanese and Chinese printmaking. There will be a variety from jewellery made by the Hungarian silversmiths Marscha and the Croatian jeweller Midzo. Colourful silk scarves will be presented by the Hungarian artist C’est Moi Silk Art and you will also have the chance to get an extracool turban for the festive season made by Mirjam Zai. WAMP also supports sustainable initiatives like FairLabels that offers a fair trade platform for African producers and designers.
On the second week between 8th and 14th December there will be newcomers too. Midsummer Illustrations which is the brand of graphic designer Nina Streit will offer cute illustrations of dreamy and minimalistic style that are perfect gifts for your friends and loved-ones. Avis et Tigris will bring cool prints and T-shirts which will entirely match the handmade gym bags by Shanta. Hand Made Story by Barbara Alli is an exciting fashion label that combines European fashion trends with African cultural heritage. Barbara creates garment collections of high-quality African textiles supporting African handcraft and trade.
On the third week between 15th and 22nd December when Christmas is just on the corner it will be still worth checking out the products of our designers. Ulrike Mittlböck is an artist creating abstract cityscapes and nature inspired acryl paintings on aluminium plates. Zoltán Hajtmanszki, the critically acclaimed Hungarian photographer and the founder of the brand Flaneurstudio works with abstract organic visuals and photographic pictures. The works of both artists can serve as an outstanding decoration for your home. Qplusbodka will bring cute pins, cards and all kinds of fun accessories, where Atelier Gioia will offer a large collection of jewellery, handmade bags, and accessories, and NECKLESSARY will await you with beautiful handmade earrings, necklaces and armbands. The Hungarian cosmetics brand Levendárium manufactures natural cosmetics from organic lavender from the Balaton region; their products will be perfect presents for your loved ones and also for yourself.
